<Yesterday    Tomorrow>

Today God says:
 "All things in your life work together for good for you".

He promises me:
  "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are called according to His purpose". (Rom. 8:28)

My response to the word:
  God is weaving a beautiful tapestry with the threads of my life. He sees the complete picture; I see only a part of it, but I know that He'll put the pieces together in a marvellous way because I love Him and He has called me. This gives my life purpose and meaning. I am comforted because I know the Holy Spirit is praying and interceding for me.

My prayer:
  Heavenly Father, thank you for the great and precious promises of your Word that provide me with faith, hope, and wisdom. I thank you that I can truly believe that you are causing all things to work together for good in my life according to your will.

Today's scriptures:
 "God has decided ahead of time to choose us through Christ according to His plan, which makes everything work the way He intends". (Eph. 1:11 GW) "I can do everything through Christ who strengthens me". (Phil. 4:13 GW) "He is the beginning, the first to come back to life so that He would have first place in everything". (Col. 1:18 GW)

Quote for today:
Storms make oaks take deeper root. (George Herbert)

On this day:
On 16th January 1604, at the Hampton Court Conference in England, John Rainolds presented to King James I the motion "...that there might bee a newe translation of the Bible". Approved the next day, Rainolds' motion led to the 1611 publication of the Authorized (King James) version of the Bible.

"Scriptures are taken from the King James Bible or those marked (GW) are from the God's Word Translation, used with permission".
