<Yesterday    Tomorrow>

Today God says:
 "I will comfort you when you mourn"

He promises me:
  "Blessed are they that mourn; for they shall be comforted". (Matt. 5:4)

My response to the word:
  Whenever I have experienced loss in my life, God has always been there to give me His comfort. In fact, I know Him to be "the God of all comfort". God promises me that He will both comfort me and bless me in any time of mourning that I will have to face. I believe Him and trust Him to fulfil His promise to me.

My prayer:
  Lord, thank you for being "the God of all comfort". I will walk in the knowledge of your comfort throughout this day.

Today's scriptures:
 "The Lord is my Shepherd. I am never in want….Even though I walk through the dark valley of death, because you are with me, I fear no harm". (Ps.23:1,4 GW) "As a mother comforts her child, so will I comfort you". (Isa. 66:13 GW) "Praise the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. He is the Father who is compassionate and the God who comforts". (2 Cor. 1:3 GW)

Quote for today:
God will not permit any troubles to come upon us, unless He has a specific plan by which great blessing can come out of the difficulty. (Peter Marshall)
