<Yesterday    Tomorrow>

Today God says:
 "Your effectual, fervent prayer will avail much".

He promises me:
  "The effective fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much". (James 5:15)

My response to the word:
  An effective, fervent prayer is one that is adequate and effective (the prayer of faith), and it is sincere and filled with warm emotion (a knowledge of God's love). I am a righteous person, because God has imparted His righteousness to me. The Bible says, "But of Him are you in Christ Jesus, who of God is made to us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption".

My prayer:
  Lord, thank you for the righteousness that enables me to pray in faith in an effective and fervent manner. My prayers will avail much because you have promised this to me.

Today's scriptures:
 "You are partners with Christ Jesus because of God. Jesus has become our wisdom sent from God, our righteousness, our holiness, and our ransom from sin". (1 Cor. 1:30 GW) "Pray in the Spirit in every situation. Use every kind of prayer and request there is. For the same reason be alert. Use every kind of effort and make every kind of request for all of God's people". (Eph 6:18 GW) "Everything God created is good. Nothing should be rejected if it is received with prayers of thanks. The Word of God and prayers set it apart as holy". (1 Tim. 4:4,5 GW)

Quote for today:
The secret of praying is praying in secret. We must learn to pray, and we must pray to learn to pray. (Leonard Ravenhill)
