<Yesterday    Tomorrow>

Today God says:
 "All Scripture is given by My inspiration".

He promises me:
  "All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished for all good works". (2 Tim. 3:16,17)

My response to the word:
  God has inspired His Word so that it can be a profitable spiritual tool in my life. It brings me teaching and correction. "For the Word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart". Throughout this day I will let the Word of God do its work in my life.

My prayer:
  Heavenly Father, thank you for the treasure chest of your Word. It is my infallible rule for faith and practice.

Today's scriptures:
 "Some time ago you heard about this hope in the Good News which is the message of truth". (Col. 1:5 GW) "Let Christ's Word with all its wisdom and riches live in you". (Col. 3:16 GW) "He must be devoted to the trustworthy message we teach. Then he can use these accurate teachings to encourage people and correct those who oppose the Word". (Titus 1:9 GW) "God's Word is living and active". (Heb. 4:12 GW)

Quote for today:
When you read God's Word, you must continuously be saying to yourself, "It is talking to me, and about me". (Soren Kierkegaard)

On this day:
On 24th November 1572, Scottish minister and reformer John Knox died in Edinburgh at the age of 58 years.
On 24th November 1713, Junipero Serra, "the Apostle of California," is born. The Spanish missionary established nine of the first 21 Franciscan missions in "New Spain," baptizing about 6,000 American Indians.
