<Yesterday    Tomorrow>

Today God says:
 "Be filled with My fullness".

He promises me:
  "And to know the love of Christ, which passes knowledge, that you might be filled with all the fullness of God. (Eph. 3:19)

My response to the word:
  The thing that impresses me most as I read this verse is the connection between knowing the love of Christ and being filled with all God's fullness. I want both to know Jesus' love fully and to be filled with God's fullness. This is what He wants for me as well. The love of Christ was clearly demonstrated on Calvary. He laid down His life for me. After He died and rose again, He ascended into heaven. Then He despatched His Spirit who seeks to fill me with all God's fullness. I will walk in love and faith this day, completely open to being filled with all the fullness God wants me to have.

My prayer:
  Father, you are love. Help me to walk in your love throughout this day.

Today's scriptures:
 "Don't get drunk on wine, which leads to wild living. Instead, be filled with the Spirit by reciting psalms, hymns and spiritual songs for your own good. Sing and make music to the Lord with your hearts". (Eph. 5:18,19 GW) "Jesus Christ will fill your lives with everything that God's approval produces". (Phil. 1:11 GW) "We ask God to fill you with the knowledge of His will through every kind of spiritual wisdom and insight". (Col. 1:9 GW)

Quote for today:
I believe firmly that the moment our hearts are emptied of pride and selfishness and ambition and everything that is contrary to God's law, the Holy Spirit will fill every corner of our hearts. (D L Moody)

On this day:
On 25th June 1765, Samuel Marsden was born in Farsley, Yorkshire. Educated at Cambridge, in 1793 he was persuaded to develop a chaplaincy for the New South Wales convict settlement in Australia. He established a model homestead, developed farm and soil husbandry for ex-convicts and introduced sheep farming. His evangelical and missionary spirit reached out to New Zealand and especially to the Maori people. He died in Windsor, Austalia in 1838 at the age of 72 years.
On 25th June 1865, English pioneer missionary J. Hudson Taylor founded the China Inland Mission. Its headquarters moved to the US in 1901, and in 1965 its name became Overseas Missionary Fellowship (OMF) International.
