<Yesterday    Tomorrow>

Today God says:
 "I am your defence".

He promises me:
  "My defence is of God, who saves the upright in heart". (Ps. 7:10)

My response to the word:
  I surrender my right to self-defence because I know God will defend me in a far better way than I ever could. I will walk in uprightness of heart throughout this day, and I know God will save me from my enemies. I belong to the Lord, and I know He always takes good care of His children.

My prayer:
  Thank you, Lord God, for protecting me and defending me against the forces of evil and wickedness in the world. I will fear no evil, because I know you are with me.

Today's scriptures:
 "Even though I walk through the dark valley of death, because you are with me, I fear no harm". (Ps. 23:4 GW) "O my strength, I watch for you! God is my stronghold, my merciful God". (Ps. 59:9 GW) "The Lord has become my stronghold. My God has become my rock of refuge". (Ps. 94:22 GW)

Quote for today:
Jesus Christ is no security against storms, but He is perfect security in storms. He has never promised you an easy passage, only a safe landing. (Anon.)
