<Yesterday    Tomorrow>

Today God says:
 "Study to show yourself approved unto Me".

He promises me:
  "Study to show yourself approved unto God, a workman that needs not be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth". (2 Tim. 2:15)

My response to the word:
  I desire to be God's workman; therefore, I will study His Word diligently so that I will never have to be ashamed because I will understand His truth. His Word is truth. His truth sets me free, and it sanctifies me. I will memorize His Word, meditate upon its liberating truths, walk in its light, and rightly divide it throughout this day.

My prayer:
  Heavenly Father, I love your Word. It gives me faith, life, hope, and strength. I will walk in its light today.

Today's scriptures:
 "You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free". (John 8:32 GW) "Use the truth to make them holy. Your words are truth". (John 17:17 GW) "The people of Berea were more open-minded than the people of Thessalonica. They were willing to receive God's message, and every day they carefully examined the Scriptures to see if what Paul said was true". (Acts. 17:11 GW)

Quote for today:
The Bible was written for men with a head upon their shoulders. (Martin Luther)

On this day:
Between May and August 325, Emperor Constantine called together 300 bishops of the early church to resolve theological differences. They met at Nicea in Asia Minor, and produced a statement of beliefs which we know as the Nicene Creed. Some small changes were made by the Council in Constantinople in 381, but this Creed is still known and used today.

"Scriptures are taken from the King James Bible or those marked (GW) are from the God's Word Translation, used with permission".
