<Yesterday    Tomorrow>

Today God says:
 "Walk in love".

He promises me:
  "And walk in love, as Christ Himself also has loved us, and has given Himself for us as an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet smelling savour". (Eph. 5:2)

My response to the word:
  Throughout this day, with the help of God, I will walk in love, because I know Christ loves me. He demonstrated His great love for me when He died on the cross. "But God commends His love towards us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us". Through Christ I am able to love others. "We love Him, because He first loved us".

My prayer:
  Help me to walk in your love today, Father. Thank you for demonstrating your love to me through Jesus. In His name I pray.

Today's scriptures:
 "Christ died for us while we were still sinners. This demonstrates God's love for us". (Rom. 5:8 GW) "The person who doesn't love doesn't know God, because God is love". (1 John 4:8 GW) "We love because God loved us first". (1 John 4:19 GW)

Quote for today:
Life with Christ is endless love; without Him it is a loveless end. (Billy Graham)

On this day:
On 29th June 1796, John Williams was born at Tottenham, England. Converted at age 17, he volunteered with the London Missionary Society and was sent at age 20 to the Society Islands. He not only evangelized, but also taught the natives to trade. He discovered the island of Rarotonga and translated the scriptures and other books into the native tongue. By the time he returned to England in 1824, he had visited every significant island within a 2,000 mile radius of the Pacific. He was martyred at age 43 when he began work on Erromanga, New Hebrides. The natives, having suffered much from white sailors who visited the islands, clubbed Williams to death as revenge.
