Today God says:
"I am your Deliverer".
He promises me:
"The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower. I will call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from my enemies". (Ps. 18:2,3)
My response to the word:
God delivers me from all my enemies. When He delivers me, I am completely free. Therefore, I will call upon Him throughout this day because I know He is my rock, my fortress, my Deliverer, my buckler, the horn of my salvation, and my high tower. He is worthy to be praised, and I will praise Him throughout this day.
My prayer:
Lord, I praise you and thank you for saving me from all my enemies. I thank you also that I have been completely delivered from all guilt, condemnation, fear, sin, shame, and opposition. You are my mighty Deliverer. I love you, Lord. Thank you for loving me.

On 30th January 1912, Francis A Schaeffer was born in Germantown, Pennsylvania. Following a remarkable conversion, he studied for the ministry, pastoring churches in Pennsylvania and Missouri. But after ministering in the States, he and his wife Edith moved to Lausanne, Switzerland in 1948, to develop a ministry. This led to the founding of L'Abri Fellowship, an "oasis" in the Swiss Alps where searching students could come and talk through their most troubling questions about God. He authored many best-selling books. He died in Rochester, Minnesota in 1984 at age 72 years.
