Today God says:
"Abide in Jesus, and let My Word abide in you, and I will answer your prayers"
He promises me:
"If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you shall ask what you will, and it shall be done for you" (John 15:7)
My response to the word:
Jesus invites me to abide in Him. He is the Vine, and my heavenly Father is the vinedresser. God wants me to be a fruitful part of the vine, so He prunes me. His pruning in my life brings me closer to Jesus, the true Vine of life. It cleanses me and makes me fruitful. Jesus said, "He that abides in Me, and I in him, the same brings forth much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing".
My prayer:
Lord, thank you for grafting me into your vine of life. I will abide in Jesus throughout this day, realizing that this is a key to answered prayer.
Today's scriptures:
"If you live in Me and what I say lives in you, then ask for anything you want, and it will be yours". (John 15:7 GW) "Those who say that they live in Him must live the same way He lived". (1 John 2:6 GW) "I've written to you, young people, because you are strong and God's Word lives in you. You have won the victory over the evil one". (1 John 2:14 GW)
Quote for today:
If your day is hemmed in prayer, it is less likely to come unstitched. (Unknown)
On this day:
"Scriptures are taken from the King James Bible or those marked (GW) are from the God's Word Translation, used with permission".
