<Yesterday    Tomorrow>

Today God says:
 "If you will humble yourself under My hand, I will lift you up".

He promises me:
  "Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time. Casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you". (1 Peter 5:6,7)

My response to the word:
  Throughout this day I will humble myself under God's mighty hand, because I know this is a key to blessing in my life. I will cast all my worries and anxieties upon him, because I know He does care about me. I know that if I will bow humbly before God my Creator, He will lift me up into His perfect plan for my life.

My prayer:
  Dear Father God, give me the grace of humility as I go about my daily activities. I submit myself to your Lordship.

Today's scriptures:
 "Whoever becomes like this little child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven". (Matt 18:4 GW) "Humble yourselves in the Lord's presence. Then He will give you a high position". (James 4:10 GW) "Furthermore, all of you must serve each other with humility, because God opposes the arrogant but favours the humble". (1 Peter 5:5 GW)

Quote for today:
Jesus is the God whom we can approach without pride and before whom we can humble ourselves without despair. (Blaise Pascal)

On this day:
On 3rd December 1894, Robert Louis Stephenson died in Samoa, aged 44 years. He is best known for his books Treasure Island and Kidnapped. A little book of his prayers was published after his death by his widow.
