<Yesterday    Tomorrow>

Today God says:
 "Trust in Me with all your heart".

He promises me:
  "Trust in the Lord with all your heart; and lean not to your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths". (Prov. 3:5-6)

My response to the word:
  I know God is trustworthy. He is always faithful. I will trust Him with all my heart and acknowledge Him in all my ways. He will direct me throughout this day. It is such an adventure to be led by the Spirit of God. I am glad to be a child of God.

My prayer:
  Heavenly Father, I trust in you. I want to learn to trust you with all my heart, to acknowledge your presence, and experience your direction in my life each step of the way. Thank you for your wonderful promises that you will guide me, lead me, direct me, and be with me.

Today's scriptures:
 "Whoever trusts his own heart is a fool. Whoever walks in wisdom will survive". (Prov. 28:26 GW) "Certainly, we work hard and struggle to live a godly life, because we place our confidence in the living God". (1 Tim. 4:10 GW) "Tell those who have riches of this world not to be arrogant and not to place their confidence in anything as uncertain as riches. Instead, they should place their confidence in God who richly provides us with everything to enjoy". (1 Tim. 6:17 GW)

Quote for today:
There are no crown-wearers in heaven who were not cross-bearers here below. (Charles Spurgeon)

On this day:
On 15th January 1970, Israeli archaeologists reported uncovering the first evidence supporting the destruction of Jerusalem in 70 A.D. by military forces of the ancient Roman Empire.
