<Yesterday    Tomorrow>

Today God says:
 "I want your joy to be full".

He promises me:
  "And these things we write to you, that your joy may be full". (1 John 1:4)

My response to the word:
  I have fullness of joy because of the full realization that God has given me life - abundant and eternal life. Joy floods my being when I realize that I can have fellowship with my heavenly Father and my Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. The joy I experience as a result of knowing Jesus Christ is not based on the circumstances of my life; it is an internal well of blessing from which I draw throughout this day. "The joy of the Lord is my strength". God's kingdom is righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit.

My prayer:
  Lord, I thank you for giving me fullness of joy. This truly is the strength of my life. The joy you've given to me goes far beyond anything this world has to offer. I will walk in your joy today. Fill me with joy and peace in believing, that I may abound in hope through the power of the Holy Spirit.

Today's scriptures:
 "Today is a holy day for the Lord. Don't be sad because the joy you have in the Lord is your strength". (Neh. 8:10 GW) "So far you haven't asked for anything in My name. Ask and you will receive so that you can be completely happy". (John 16:24 GW) "God's kingdom consists of God's approval and peace, as well as the joy that the Holy Spirit gives". (Rom. 14:17 GW) "May God, the source of hope, fill you with joy and peace through your faith in Him. Then you will overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit". (Rom. 15:13 GW)

Quote for today:
No matter what a man does, no matter how successful he seems, if the Holy Spirit is not the chief energizer of his activity, it will all fall apart when he dies. (A W Tozer)

On this day:
