Today God says:
"Don't let your heart be troubled".
He promises me:
"Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me". (John 14:1)
My response to the word:
I will walk in faith throughout this day, because I know that when I believe in God and His Son, Jesus Christ, my heart will no longer be worried or troubled. I believe the words of Jesus who said, "Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, nor let it be afraid". Experiencing the peace Jesus gives lifts me above my problems.
My prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank you for giving abiding peace to me through faith in Jesus Christ. I will remain focused on you throughout this day, because I know this is the source of perfect peace in my life.
Today's scriptures:
"With perfect peace you will protect those whose minds cannot be changed, because they trust you". (Isa. 26:3 GW) "I'm leaving you peace. I'm giving you My peace". (John 14:27 GW) "Never worry about anything. But in every situation let God know what you need in prayers and requests while giving thanks. Then God's peace, which goes beyond anything we can imagine, will guard your thoughts and emotions through Christ Jesus". (Phil. 4:6,7 GW)
Quote for today:
Be not curious about matters that do not concern thee; never speak of them, and do not ask about them. (Teresa of Avila)
On this day:
"Scriptures are taken from the King James Bible or those marked (GW) are from the God's Word Translation, used with permission".
