Today God says:
"You have eternal life".
He promises me:
"For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord". (Rom. 6:23)
My response to the word:
The stunning knowledge that eternal life has been given to me by my loving Father in heaven leads me into perpetual thankfulness for having received what I did not deserve (eternal life), and for not receiving what I did deserve (death). Because I've been born twice, I will have to die once only.
My prayer:
Dear Father, thank you for your amazing grace that gives me eternal life with you. Through faith in your Son I have been set free from the wages of sin. I will live for you.

On 23rd January 1714, Howell Harris was born in Trevecka, Brecon, South Wales. He became one of the great evangelists of Wales, travelling all over the country and drawing huge crowds. He died in 1773 at the age of 59 years.
