Today God says:
"All authority has been given to Me in heaven and in earth".
He promises me:
"All power (authority) is given to Me in heaven and in earth". (Matt. 28:18)
My response to the word:
All spiritual authority resides in Jesus Christ, and He has taken up residence within me. Therefore, all power in heaven and in earth resides within me. Greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world. I will call upon and draw upon the power of Christ within me throughout this day. His power and authority are for my daily living, and I claim His promise of empowerment for my life this day. It is this power that will enable me to be an effective witness for Jesus Christ.
My prayer:
Lord God, thank you for manifesting your power through your Son, Jesus Christ, my Lord, and for empowering me with His indwelling presence. I will walk in His power and strength throughout this day.

"So wherever you go, make disciples of all nations: Baptize them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Teach them to do everything I have commanded you". On 5th May 1816 the American Bible Society was founded in New York "to encourage the wider circulation of the Holy Scriptures throughout the world".
On 5th May 1951 John Flynn OBE died in Moliagul, Australia at the age of 70 years. He had a vision for the Australian outback and established the Australia Inland Mission in 1913. In 1917 he proposed the Flying Doctor Service which eventually started in 1926 and encouraged the use of radio as a means of communication in the outback. Inspired by a deep faith in Christ, he embodied the gospel in practical terms.
